(More customer reviews)I absolutely love these! They are super easy to use (a real no-brainer)and you can do more with them than cook pasta. I use these to add powerful spices - the ones you don't want to eat or leave sitting in your dish cause they will over power the food - (Bay Leaf, peppercorns, CLOVES, garlic, etc) to a dish. When I'm done I just chuck the spices and enjoy the dish. Clean up is a snap - just thrown them in the dishwasher fully extended and that's it! I love these and don't know what I'd do without them.

(More customer reviews)This is a good, inexpensive and versatile knife that can be used as a spreader and server. I stumbled upon it when I needed an inexpensive item to meet the free shipping requirement.
It's good for cutting soft & leafy vegetables (lettuce, tomato), things that can be cut with sawing motion. It will not cut hard vegetable (carrot) that requires chopping motion.
It's particularly handy for making sandwiches. I can use it to spread the condiment, then slice the tomato or sweet pepper, and cut the sandwich in half at the end with just one knife. It's also great for cake, breads, brownies, etc.
It washes well in the dishwasher. A great buy overall!

(More customer reviews)This is a very well made pan. The surface is not as nicely finished as a Lodge product (number one in my book), it is manufactured in China. But the quality is decent and this pan will probably last forever. This in turn makes me wonder if I will regret this purchase. I've used it only once and to be truthful the "infusion" seemed to make no impact on the flavor of the chicken. Maybe I'm just at an age where most of my tastebuds are dead or perhaps I need to find some better recipes. For those who adore beer can chicken cooking this pan will probably be a big hit.
If you want to get a perfect finish on this pan rub it with a generous coat of shortening, warm it very slightly on the stovetop and then pop it into a 500 oven and turn the oven off. I always seal my cast iron just after baking homemade pizzas when the oven is super heated. Just don't put a cold pan into a hot oven. The surface will be glossy and perfect. You better have a good exhaust fan though, as the fumes are not too pleasant.

(More customer reviews)This is a very big composter. It is 3 feet 8 inches tall with a base of around 2 1/2 feet. This could be a problem if you are short to lift the bucket of stuff up you dump it in. The lid does not have a little hatch or hinge so you have to lift it off, and set it down, to put stuff in - not to difficult. There are four doors to get compost out and there are not as many air holes as indicated so it gets hot inside easily.
Good company - product came quickly with all pieces in good shape. Be sure your ground is level or the composer hooks to put the sides together will get out of line.
From a price per gallon of compost it is a good deal.

(More customer reviews)This kale has been great, although a little more bitter tasting than I anticipated. It is not for the faint hearted! Garden snails love it, but I just soak the leaves in a tub of water with a tsp. bleach and it kills them and their eggs. All the seeds were viable. I planted them in a more moist area of the garden, and also a sandy/dry area, and both places it did excellent. Greensmoothiegirl.com has some great recipes for using kale in smoothies, and the energy kale gives you is UNBELIEVABLE. Kale is a garden essential, it packs the most nutrition ever. And, now that we've had our first frost it is taking on more flavor. And it looks kind pretty.

(More customer reviews)These sounded great. I was excited when they arrived. But they are not perfect. The zipper is a great idea, but the nature of sewing the zipper leaves nooks at the ends where crumbs are hard to get out. I searched high and low about the material used for the waterproof interior and could not find anything describing the material. All I could find is what the material does not contain: BPA, phalate, lead, all those things that get parents running screaming, but there was nothing on what the material does contain. So I finally contacted the company. I got vague roundabout answers, and only got a definitive answer when I asked point blank if the material had polyutherane. Yes, it has polyutherane. I thought polyutherane was toxic and releases VOC's that are harmful to children. Either I am wrong, or it explains why they would not say what the material is. I wonder what other substances the lining contains that I don't know to ask about since the company isn't forthcoming about the make up of the lining. But I still gave it 3 stars because I like the cotton exterior and fabric designs I got. The baggies are easy to use and useful - though I wonder if I should continue to use for food.

The decals themselves are wonderful quality - well worth the price, which I thought was a bit steep, until people started bragging on my beautiful mixer! A dear friend in Maine wrote me that I surely had the fanciest mixer in Alabama. My Mom has been telling everyone how talented I am, and I keep reminding her that it was a set of decals - my talent (or lack thereof) had nothing to do with it! With the 5 year projected outdoor lifetime of the decal set, I feel confident that inside, covered up and in its cabinet, my mixer will be fabulous forever! I truly did not want to put it away in the cabinet after "decorating" it! The only warning I would give anyone buying this set is to be very careful as you're placing the roses - they're really sticky!

I had just purchased a new, very expensive wooden cutting board and I wanted to be sure to protect it. Someone at the store where I bought the board suggested that I get a "food grade mineral oil". I really had no idea about this type of product but once I started searching the web for info, I found that it is the best thing to use to keep your wooden boards like new for years. I was unable to locate any of this oil at the stores that I go to normally so I turned to my tried and true friend, Amazon.com Sure enough, they had this product. Once I began using it, I could tell right away what a difference it made in how my new cutting board looked. I typically use my board every day and have been using the oil once a week. The board has stayed "fresh" looking with no lasting cut marks and no water damage after wash ups.
