(More customer reviews)I have been looking for an inexpensive Curly Fry Cutter for several years. I bought one of these locally and it works SO FAST and easy with perfect Curly Fries that I ordered three of them on Amazon shipped to family members out of state!
If you wash the potato good, remove eyes, then you can just cut it and fry it with skin on which is healthy for you. It will cut a medium sized potato in seconds!! And it catches it in the bottom hopper. There is a small heal left but I just cut it in strips like regular fries. The machine comes apart easily and is easy to wash.
The Curlies cook faster than regular fries too. If you look online you can find recipes for your favorite restaurant seasonings to put on them also.
If you like FRESH Fries this machine is a must have.

The best part is that when I am done it collapses into a much smaller package so that it is easily stored in the drawer. As a bonus, it also offers a piece that fits onto the bottom which serves to strain whatever is being funneled. Perhaps it made note of this on the description but I missed it so this was a nice surprise.

Ordered a 9 month supply (2 packs) and have been especially happy with the produce results. Salad is hard to tell, because sometimes it is already browning in the bag. Overall happy with the product. Especially like the gauge on disk that shows how much time is left before replacing. Would hope they are still available in 9 months when I need to reorder.

4 dry qts, 36 qty pellets
contents: spaghum peat, poly-acylamide polymer, fertilizer, and lime.
I suggest that you simply ignore this product.
When you hydrate the clever pellets, you end up with simple peat moss.
For the same money, you can buy a nice, more convenient bag of peat moss at the the garden store.
Perhaps you will feel clever with a small bag of pellets rather than a ginormous bag of peat. But, once you get it home, the advantage dissappears.
PROBLEMS
**the instructions claim 5 minutes for hydration; ha, ha -more like 5 hours or, better, overnight.
**the number of pellets listed for a particular size pot is not adequate: you will need to use 1 or 2 more pellets per pot. It specifies 1 tab for a 2" pot, and 3 tabs for a 4" pot; both amounts are insufficient, I had to add one more pellet to properly fill the specified pot size.
yes, it is dandy for sprouting seeds, but it is no more effective than simply buying a bag of peat moss.

I have already found a major problem: like peat moss, it dries out real fast. I am soaking the saucer under the pot every other day, or it starts to dry out. Not good. I suggest you look elsewhere for starting seeds.

Jiffy 5605 Seed Starting Mix - 4 Quart Bag Review

(More customer reviews)I used this to start a bunch of different seed types like tomatoes, basil, snap peas, bell peppers, and others. At the same time as I planted seeds in the Jiffy starter soil, I planted seeds outside in the dirt. The dirt in my garden is not the best stuff. Nevertheless, the seeds I planted outdoors are all doing MUCH better than the ones I planted in the Jiffy product. Without exception, the plants that I started in the Jiffy product are stunted and underdeveloped. Most are still tiny little seedlings, while the seeds which I planted in the ground are well on their way to adulthood. The kicker here is that the seeds planted in the Jiffy product sprouted one to three weeks earlier than the ones outside.
I still have some of this stuff left over. I'm going to dump it into my compost pile.

Buy a decent sprouter versus the jar method (unless you're starting out or don't need a lot).

Kyocera Y Peelers Review

(More customer reviews)I have a Kyocera ceramic chef's knife that I have been using for about 7 years as my primary kitchen knife and I've never had to sharpen it. It is almost as sharp now as the day I bought it. Needless to say, I love that knife. About two months ago, I found myself in need of a new peeler, and given my fondness for the Kyocera knife, decided to give this ceramic peeler a try. Sadly, it really is not the same class of utensil.
I use the peeler primarily for zesting citrus fruits for use in cocktails, and the ceramic blade handled that job reasonably well. The plastic channel zesters on either side of the blade (for making, say, a lemon twist) are basically worthless. I already had an OXO tool for that purpose, so no worries. But yesterday, after maybe 10 uses in 2 months, the plastic frame that holds the blade snapped into three pieces, rendering the whole thing useless.I'll be replacing it with the OXO Y-Peeler.

(More customer reviews)I have been looking for good quality tomato cages for some time. These cages are a bit pricey but I am pleased with the purchase over all. They mimic the concentric circle wire cages you find everywhere, but are made of much thicker plastic.
As you can see from the video they have a nifty design that allows them to fold flat for storage over the winter. I have yet to try them through a season with fruit on them but my sense is they will hold up fairly well. My only suggestion is that they could have been a little taller and also had a little more weight/sturdiness in the legs. Yes big improvement from the wire cages but just a little more weight to really drive them into the ground and support fruit would have been better. However these still seem to be the best cages for my needs and with, hopefully, years of reuse a good buy.

Jiffy 5042 Windowsill Greenhouse 24-Plant Starter Kit With J7 Review

(More customer reviews)My first one came damaged. (It was Bitterly Cold here and it was packed Tightly in the box, the plastic "Brown" base part shattered and split.) ONE Email and a new one was on its way to replace at NO CHARGE, and it arrived safely so NO Problems with That.
For the reviewer who said it was hard to open the netting ? (said they used a "Plastic Knife and Spoon" ?? You use a SPOON? to open a net ? Anyway, after I watered mine and they (to use another reviewers word "POOFED UP") I found that about 70-80% of them had split open on their own in the "Poofing" process. When they arrive, the little (Lets call them "Pellets") of compressed growth medium have a sort of Flat Side and the other had a (Lets call it "Dimple") in the middle of it. Turn them as needed to put the "Dimples" UP and flat side Down. The Dimples seem to split open as they swell with water. for those that did Not open on their own, I just pulled out my trusty pocket knife made One Tiny Poke in the middle (Cuts like Warm Butter, ZERO Effort) and Wiggle the blade inside a time or two and you have all the "Fluffing" you need. I "Fluffed" in the process of making a small hole in the middle of each wet pellet (a place to put the seeds) maybe 1/4 inch deep or so and about the diameter of a pencil or maybe a tad smaller. drop a seed or two in (I always do doubles in each) and just kept using the pocket knife blade to pat the wet material over the top of the seeds. Pour the water in and wait for them to "POOF" then the opening the net, dropping seeds in and covering them back up part took me .... 5 minutes ? TOPS. and I can report 100% germination of seeds at this point.
Very Happy and back today to buy several more. I'm growing veggies I plat in series (like carrots) where its a new batch ever 2 weeks, so I need more trays, but once you have enough trays, you can just by the pellets and re-use the boxes again.
Last Note; I had another much larger 72 cell tray that came with a electric warming pad. I decided to cheat a bit and moved it over enough so the big tray and this little one could share some warmth and it made a BIG DIFFERENCE. I had 2 or 3 pellets sprouting before. put it on the pad and Overnight ALL of the other pellets sprouted. (MAYBE just lucky timing ??.... but Im also back to buy another warming pad (or two) to help out. (And if you DO ?? The Thermometer control unit is Needed. The warming pads can COOK your seeds if not controlled.

This product is considered organic because it is produced from a bacterial fermentation process that produces a toxin. My expereince was very good. When I spread the bait ants immediately began carrying it into the nest. In a short time it was all gone. The next day I saw many dead ants and almost no live ones where there had been hundreds. I just hope we can find a place to buy it without the high shipping cost.

But I like it better then a knife cause it does more then a knife, it cuts the melon in half & it scoops out the seeds then it gets the melon out of shell so thats 3 tools you don't have to dig around for & you only have the half of the shell left to get rid of not a bunch of empty slices.
