(More customer reviews)The Progressive Collapsible Produce Keeper is a great container for keeping fruits and vegetables. The thing I like the most is how it collapses to make it easier to store. This feature is made possible by the sides (Green part) being made of a softer rubber that folds in, where the clear parts of the container are a more ridged plastic. The container can be used in either size configuration, opened to the larger 4 quart capacity or folded in to the smaller try size.
There are holes in the bottom of the container, so it can be used as a colander. When used as a container, there is a bottom lid that attaches. It is built where the container will hold a small bit of water in the bottom to help keep produce fresh without the produce actually sitting in the water. This is pretty cool, and there is a chart that lets you know what produce is kept best with the water in the bottom of the container and which produce doesn't need this.
There is also a small adjustable air vent on the side to help keep produce fresh. The guide with the container tells you which items are best stored with the vent open and which are best stored with the vent closed.
This container costs more than others you can buy, but it really is a good container and has features to help keep your fruits and vegetables fresh longer. Great addition to refrigerator storage.
